PSV Media - Adrie van Kraaij will be PSV's Transfers & Scouting Manager the next two years. Van Kraaij succeeds Stan Valckx, who parted company with PSV in May following a clash with the club. General Manager Jan Reker has stated that a definitive settlement agreement has been reached with Valckx.
'Opportunity rarely knocks twice'
Adrie van Kraaij, who is currently on PSV's books as international scout, replaced Stan Valckx on an interim basis the past few weeks. 'I'm just delighted to be given this opportunity', said Van Kraaij. 'Opportunity rarely knocks twice. I will also carry on working as a scout and continue to be involved in transfer activities.' Adrie van Kraaij, who was born in Eindhoven on 1 August 1953, joined PSV from the amateurs of Spechten. The defender spent eleven seasons with PSV, scoring five goals from 309 appearances. At PSV, Van Kraaij, who has been capped 17 times, won five Dutch championships and two Dutch Cups. He also won the UEFA Cup, PSV's first major European title in 1978.
