PSV were put through their paces today as they resumed their pre-season training programme this morning. The players walked between a double row of PSV fans before heading for the training pitches at De Herdgang on Tuesday morning and there was even a prolonged applause for the players. Later today, the PSV squad take off for Newcastle, where they have a five-day training camp.
Programme
Danny Koevermans and Edison Méndez joined their team mates for full training again. They trained with the group during the first part of the session before they worked out separately, supervised by fitness coach Luc van Agt. Physio Cees van der Linden took charge of Jan Kromkamp's session. The defender will not make the trip to England, and neither will Jonathan Reis and Bas Roorda, who suffer a foot and a back problem, respectively. PSV will meet Newcastle United at St James' Park on Wednesday night in a pre-season friendly and face Everton at Goodison Park on Saturday. The squad will fly out of Eindhoven at approximately 3pm and return home straight after Saturday's game. The squad will train several times during their stay in England.
