Young PSV coach Anton Janssen was satisfied with his side's decent display and hailed his players' spirit. He said:' It's a shame we conceded early goals at the start of the first and second half. We have been taught some valuable lessons.'
Sense of satisfaction
'We really tried to make it a game and had a go at PSV from the first whistle', said Young PSV coach Anton Janssen. 'We did well at times but we could not switch quickly from defence to attack. It's too bad we conceded the first goal after only four minutes. It was quite a high-tempo game, but, all in all, I am satisfied with my team's display' said Janssen, who was coach of the 'home team', at the post-match press conference. 'The players felt a lot of tension in the build-up to the game. They are now entitled to a sense of satisfaction and will benefit from the experience. They are exhausted as they have been taught some valuable lessons.'
Compliments for Young PSV
Huub Stevens told media representatives that the early opening goal was decisive. 'We could and should have won by more goals, though. I must pay a compliment to Young PSV. The young lads have been working very hard to make it a game. It's too bad they are knocked out of the tournament, but the best team won tonight.'
