PSV once again have a host of players away as the internationals take centre stage for the next one and a half weeks. PSV assistant coach Phillip Cocu and sports physiologist Luc van Agt will play their trade with the Dutch team that has World Cup have qualifiers against Scotland and Macedonia in Amsterdam.
'Very positive'
Phillip Cocu is doing an apprenticeship with the Dutch squad and the former PSV and Holland captain also hopes to be involved with the Oranje next year as well in the 2010 World Cup build-up. Netherlands coach Bert van Marwijk, who watched the PSV â€' Vitesse game on Saturday, expressed appreciation for his assistant coach and announced he was happy with the role that Phillip Cocu has been playing with PSV since the winter break. 'I feel it's a very positive thing. Phillip has just started his coaching career but does not have the required coaching badges yet. PSV have asked him to play a more prominent role with the first-team squad, which shows he has made an impact as a first-year coach. The club put faith in him as they recognise his qualities as a coach. I am sure he will have benefited from the experience he has gained from working with the Dutch team', concluded Van Marwijk. Holland face Scotland in a World Cup qualifying game in Amsterdam on March 28 before meeting Macedonia four days later.
