PSV coach Dwight Lodeweges looked ahead at the home clash with FC Utrecht at a press briefing on Friday afternoon. Some players are listed doubtful for Saturday's clash. Ibrahim Afellay and Edison Méndez will be available but Danny Koevermans is ruled out with a bruised rib.
Dzsudzsák returned to Eindhoven today
Lodeweges has some injury concerns ahead of Saturday's game against FC Utrecht. Ibrahim Afellay has picked up a knock to a foot and only trained lightly all week. Edison Méndez has stomach complaints and Danny Koevermans suffers a bruised rib. Stef Nijland, who will undergo surgery today, will miss the remainder of the season. 'I think Afellay and Méndez will be fit enough to be included in the starting XI, but Koevermans will not be available', said Lodeweges who may call up Mike Zonneveld or Haibin Zhou to the match squad. Balázs Dzsudzsák was absent from training all week. The Hungarian international was in his native country in Hungary for sad family reasons. He returned to Eindhoven today and has joined the squad for full training.
FC Utrecht will be without Vorm and Van der Gun
Lodeweges announced earlier this week that he was delighted to sign a two-year contract as head coach at N.E.C. 'It's a great club and all people involved with N.E.C, players, officials and office staff, work at the same place. But right now I only focus on PSV. We have everything to play for as we are keen to qualify for UEFA Cup football next season. We take each game as it comes, so we know what is expected of us when we take on FC Utrecht.' Kick-off time of Saturday's Eredivisie game at the Philips Stadium is 19: 45. FC Utrecht will be without Cedric van der Gun and keeper Michel Vorm, while Sander Keller is suspended. PSV thrashed FC Utrecht 1-5 in this season's reverse encounter in Utrecht, when Ibrahim Afellay as well as Danny Koevermans scored a double.
