The post-match press conference was about as efficient as the way PSV had recorded a 2-0 win over FC Utrecht. It took both coaches only a few minutes to analyse the game. 'PSV got the three points. We would gladly have entertained the crowd after the break', concluded Lodeweges, who insisted that points are all that matters now for PSV.
'A fine moment'
Lodeweges thought his side played well for parts of the game. 'We started the game well, although we didn't know what system FC Utrecht would play. We were at them for some twenty minutes and tried to get the crowd behind us by scoring an early opener. We couldn't keep up the pressure for 45 minutes but were always in control. We scored the opening goal in the very last second of the first half, which is obviously a fine moment', said Lodeweges, who saw his team wrap up the points in the second half against a hapless FC Utrecht side. 'We would gladly have entertained the crowd after the break, but points are all that matters now for PSV.'
