The latest PSV signing Robert watched the league clash against AZ from the grand stand last weekend, but he has now been called up for the provisional nineteen-man squad that prepare for the game against N.E.C. tomorrow night. This piece of news was announced by Fred Rutten, who, in the absence of Guus Hiddink, was in charge of the customary pre-match press briefing. Nineteen players have received a call-up, one of whom will be withdrawn from the squad on match day. John de Jong is struggling to regain fitness, now that he is fighting an ankle problem; he hopes to be available for the AS Monaco clash on Tuesday night. Mark van Bommel serves a one-match ban and will have to watch his team mates at work from the grand stand. He skipped Friday morning’s training session just to be sure, as he was not feeling too well. Alex, however, who did not join the squad for training on Tuesday, is as fit as a fiddle. Rutten paid tribute to Robert. "It seems he is feeling more at ease and he has been adapting quite well the past week. The pace of the game is much higher here, but is making a good impression and looks sharp", felt Rutten. He replaced Guus Hiddink, who will watch the French Ligue 1 game AS Monaco - Olympique Lyon as a close observer tonight. The topic of the loan deal that Csaba Fehér completed earlier this week was raised briefly in the press room at De Herdgang. "This was the best solution for him. We have many players in our squad that can play in midfield .We have hardly included him in the first team starting line-up the past six months, so he has been short of full match action. He has taken the initiative to move on loan to his former Hungarian club himself."The squad for the N.E.C. encounter:Goalkeepers: Gomes, ZoetebierDefenders: Addo, Alex, Bøgelund, Bouma, Lamey, Lee, OoijerMidfielders: Cocu, Lucius, Van der Schaaf, VogelForwards: Beasley, Farfán, Park, Robert, Sibon, and Vennegoor of Hesselink.
