PSV set up their pre-season campaign on Friday night, when they meet the German side Borussia Mönchengladbach. The warm-up friendly in the Borussia Park will be kicked off at 19: 30. It marks the start of a weekend full of festive activities for the German fans.Weekend full of festive activitiesMönchengladbach is not far from Eindhoven; 95 kilometres to be exact. The modern Borussia-Park was opened one year ago and now that the new Bundesliga campaign is to be kicked off next week, a great many celebrations will be organized this weekend. The squad will be presented on Friday and the pre-season friendly against PSV is also scheduled for Friday. A great party where several artists will make an appearance will be held on Saturday and the official opening of the new season will take place at the Borussia Park. The squad will be presented once again, after which the fans will get a wonderful opportunity to add some autographs of players to their collection. Kasper BøgelundThe Borussia Mönchengladbach squad has some key players to boast of. One of them is obviously no stranger to Eindhoven: Kasper Bøgelund made a move from PSV to Mönchengladbach last summer. The Dane wore a red-white shirt for many seasons and he will now show his skills in the Bundesliga. Some other famous players to watch are the American goalkeeper Kasey Keller (who won the Gold Cup last weekend, together with PSV forward DaMarcus Beasley), the Danish old hand Thomas Helveg, Christian Ziege, Dutch defender Niels Oude Kamphuis (who was with Schalke 04 last year), the Czech international Marek Heinz, former Ajax player Wesley Sonck, the experienced striker Giovane Elber and club top scorer Oliver Neuville. Borussia performed below par last season. They started the season full of hope, but they parted ways with former PSV coach Dick Advocaat and were fifteenth in the table.A 53, 000 crowdThe Borussia-Park, which cost 87 million euros, can accommodate a 53, 000 crowd. An up-to-date training ground is quite close to the stadium. Coach Horst Köppel has announced he is looking forward to meeting Dutch champions. "They are also gearing up their preparations for the new season, so this will be a good test for us”, Köppel explained.
