Johan Vonlanthen made sure of victory for NAC by scoring a superb goal against rivals Willem II: 1-0. The player, on loan from PSV, opened his scoring account for the yellow-blacks in the dying minutes. Van Hooijdonk injuryThe Colombian Swiss had been brought on for NAC icon Pierre van Hooijdonk, who played a prominent role.The ‘prodigal son’ picked up an injury in the early stages, but refured to give up. He was not taken off until five minutes into the second half, when Vonlanthen came on to replace him. It was not a great game. Ceesay earned the best chance for Willem II, but he only hit the bar. Willem II winger Kevin Robson was red-carded by referee Luinge. And when both teams seemed to have settled for a draw, Vonlanthen superbly curled the ball past keeper Oscar Moens.
