PSV have extended their top position in the Dutch league by two points. The Eindhoven outfit comfortably coasted to a 3-0 win over Sparta Rotterdam and newly promoted Heracles produced a 2-2 shock result, against runners-up AZ in Alkmaar. Martin PieckenhagenHeracles goalkeeper Martin Pieckenhagen will undoubtedly be the hero of Almelo this week. The German made sure of one point for the Almelo based club in rather unconventional fashion. Sektioui and Arveladze had given the hosts a 2-0 lead, but Heracles staged a brave fight back and when Calincov had found the net for what might have been a consolation, they surged men forward. When Heracles earned a corner at the death, Pieckenhagen decided to join his team mates in a crowded penalty area. And the 33-year-old stopper incredibly promptly delivered a glancing header for the stunning equalizer. Heracles have a fantastic record against top clubs to boast of. Coach Peter Bosz guided his team to draws against PSV and Ajax earlier this season, and now they have bagged two precious points in Alkmaar.
