The PSV first-team squad got back on the training pitch at De Herdgang for the first time since three days. On an almost summerlike Thursday morning the players prepared for Sunday afternoon’s league game against Vitesse at the Philips Stadium. Two more training sessions are scheduled for Friday and Saturday.
Amid great public interest of the fans and media, the players were treated to a two-hour training session, doing all the customary exercises, including some piggy-in-the middle games, passing the ball around and crossing and finishing. Género Zeefuik trained for about 90 minutes, while Csaba Fehér trained separately from the rest of the first-team squad, supervised by physiotherapist Arno Philips. All in all, it was business as usual at De Herdgang training ground this Thursday morning, in spite of critical newspaper reports following last Sunday’s disappointing result.
