Ronald Waterreus has extended his contract with Rangers FC until the end of the season. During last season's mid-winter break the goalkeeper signed a deal that would keep him with the Rangers until the end of December. 34-year-old Waterreus made a move from PSV to the Rangers in order to deputize for regular goalkeeper Stefan Klos, who had sustained a serious injury. Klos has meanwhile recovered, but Waterreus is now the first keeper in the pecking order of the Scottish outfit. "We are delighted he has committed himself for a longer period. We can confirm that he has extended his contact", announces Chief Executive Martin Bain on the clubs website.
