Kromkamp grateful for expressions of support (PSV.nl)

Jan Kromkamp is grateful for the hundreds of expressions of support he has received, after he had been assaulted last weekend. “I want to thank all the fans for bucking me up. I really appreciate all their efforts”, told Kromkamp PSV Media on Friday afternoon.
“I have received hundreds of expressions of support and text messages. I want to sincerely thank the fans for their great support”, said Kromkamp, who added that he is recovering well after sustaining facial wounds. “I really appreciate the fans’ concern and their loyalty, in particular as newspapers have published many contradictory stories the past few days. Some of them even include false accusations. I was alleged to have started argument with my girl friend and turned violent and I was falsely accused of drink driving. These stories are blatantly untrue”, says Kromkamp, who intends to disassociate himself from the affair after this weekend. “We’re going on holiday tomorrow. I badly need some rest and the matter is being investigated by the Director of Public Prosecutions. I wish to once again clearly emphasize that the great many expressions of support have cheered me up. Thank you so much”, concluded Kromkamp.
