Mark van Bommel dropped by to say hello to some people at De Herdgang training ground, before reporting on duty with the Dutch team. Van Bommel took time to chat up with the family Van Kemenade, the managers at de Herdgang, and he also met some new PSV players. Dutch teamMark van Bommel was called up by Marco van Basten for the friendly against Italy after all. Van Bommel was happy he had received a call-up, but was not willing to make any more comments. "I am happy I have been called up after all. All players want to make an appearance with the Dutch team and that holds good for me as well", announced the former PSV midfielder who has been capped 34 times. Van Bommel has been called up as Wesley Sneijder has sustained a hamstring injury. Last weekend Van Basten announced that Van Bommel, who shows his skills at Barcelona every week, is third in the pecking order of right flank midfielders, behind Denny Landzaat and Sneijder. Edwin ZoetebierJust like on the previous occasion PSV goalkeeper Edwin Zoetebier has received an invitation to take part in a training session. The 35-year-old goalie is expected in Huis te Duin in Noordwijk tonight for the Wednesday morning training session, after which he will return to Eindhoven.
