Ahead of the two Euro 2006 qualifying games against Slovenia, the Young Holland squad have been offered an alternative activity. The players, including PSV midfielder Ismail Aissati, went to the Thialf skating rink.Ismail AissatiNever before in his life had seventeen-year-old Ismail Aissati put on skates. But that did not prevent him from having a go at it. Coach Foppe de Haan had decided it was time his players had a good time during their training camp. Skating coach Henk Gemser took charge and the players were first given some instructions. "We have made him put on a pair of racing skates and we started to practice”, said De Haan on the first experience that Aissati gained on the ice. "We were careful and it didn’t last that long, for Ismail found it hard to get the correct position on his skates. But we had a great time under the supervision of Gemser." SloveniaThe Young Holland squad will travel to Slovenia on Saturday morning. The first leg is scheduled for Sunday at 18: 45 and the return leg will take place in Heerenveen on 16 November. If Young Holland manage to beat their Slovenian counterparts, they will have made sure of a spot at the World Cup 2006 U21.
