The theme of the weekly Dutch conversation lesson for the foreign PSV players was St Nicholas, whose birthday is celebrated in Holland on 5 December. Teacher Leon Smeets had prepared a special session for Juan Carlos Carrizo, Osmar Ferreyra and Michael Ball and of course everybody was given a present. 'Pepernoten'Juan Carlos, Osmar and Michael all got a fine pen and a chocolate letter. 'Pepernoten' were all over the desks. The players were informed by means of St Nicholas related teaching material about this traditional Dutch children's party. Black Peter, the rod, the chimney and sweets and candy are now familiar aspects for these PSV players, following this afternoon’s class.Below you will find some pictures taken in the classroom at De Herdgang.
