PSV squad prepare for the Willem II game (PSV.nl)

Four more games are scheduled before the PSV first team squad will enjoy a short winter break. The PSV squad trained on Thursday morning to prepare for the Willem II league tie, the first of those four encounters. Apart from Andrei Ionescu, two more youngsters have been handed trials with the first team squad, the South Korean Ho Jin Lee and the American Lee Nguyen. Both players will be in Eindhoven until next Tuesday.Mika Väyrynen and DaMarcus Beasley have meanwhile joined their team mates for full training. Michael Ball has already made some appearances with Young PSV and he was called up for the first team squad last Sunday when PSV faced Feyenoord. Arouna KonéArouna Koné did not join the squad for full training, but trained on his own. Koné, who was ruled out of the Feyenoord clash, is recovering from a knee injury. The Ivory Coast striker twisted his knee during the league game against NAC Breda. It is hard to predict whether he will be available for Saturday night’s tie. Guus Hiddink may have more news during the weekly press briefing on Friday afternoon.
