The Spanish Primera Liga side Real Betis Balompie from Sevilla are greatly interested in PSV striker Robert de Pinho de Souza. Expectations are that a loan move will be completed before the weekend. The Spanish club want to offer an eighteen month loan deal to Robert, whose contract with PSV will not expire before the summer of 2008. The striker made a move from the Mexican side Atlas to Eindhoven at the beginning of this year. Robert’s finest moment took place during the UEFA Champions League quarter final against Olympique Lyon, when he converted the final and decisive penalty of the penalty shoot out.Robert started his career at Coritiba in Brazil. After a spell with Botafogo, he moved to Europe in the 2001-2002 season and joined Servette. After a brief spell with Spartak Moscow, he returned to Mexico, where he showed his skills at Amerika. He netted as many as 33 goals in two seasons. He made league16 appearances for PSV in which he scored two goals. Real Betis Balompie are the next opponent of AZ in the UEFA Cup tournament.
