Marco van Basten, coach of the Dutch national football team, paid a visit to De Herdgang training ground on Monday afternoon, where he talked to Guus Hiddink. Luc van Agt, PSV fitness coach, who is also going to work for the Dutch team this summer, showed him around. Van Basten, who was accompanied by his assistants John van ’t Schip and Rob Witschge, was shown the entire ground, including the new Youth Academy accommodation that was surrendered only last week. Prior to the tour, he watched part of a training session of the PSV first team squad on the artificial pitch. "He pays visits to several clubs from whom he picks players for the national squad. He wanted to have a look here. After that we discussed some Dutch team-related issues, such as the route we are going to take to the World Cup”, explained Van Agt, who will get to work with the Dutch team as fitness coach during the World Cup 2006 in Germany.
