21-year-old Samir Handanovic is currently on trial in Eindhoven. The Slovene goalkeeper, who is regularly called up for national duty, is in the service of Udinese, where he is on loan from the club Treviso. Handanovic, born on 14 July 1984, has made five Serie A appearances so far, two for Udinese and three for Treviso. He was fielded seven times for the national Slovene team. The goalkeeper, who is 1, 93 tall, was handed his debut in the national team in November 2004. Handanovic has had spells before with Domzale, Zagorje and Slovan Mavrica, where he started his career. Deputy goalkeeper Edwin Zoetebier will leave PSV at the end of the season, as he wants to be included in a starting line-up for some more years. Apart from Gomes, the Australian stopper Nathan Coe is also a player of the first team squad.
