The UEFA have issued an official press kit, 35 pages full of interesting stats, facts and pieces of information on tonight’s game. Here is a survey. Heurelho Gomes and André Ooijer are the only PSV players that have not missed a minute of their six Champions League games so far this season.Timmy Simons, Phillip Cocu, Ibrahim Afellay and Jefferson Farfán have also made an appearance in each of the six group stage ties. Olympique Lyon defender Cris is the only Lyon player that has played every minute of their UEFA Champion League games this season. PSV captain Cocu is five games away from his 75th Champions League appearance. André Ooijer needs two more games to play his fiftieth European game in the service of PSV and Theo Lucius is six games away from a his ‘golden’ appearance on the European stage.PSV slipped to a 1-2 defeat at home against AS Monaco during the 2002-2004 season, but that was the only time that PSV suffered a home defeat against a French side. PSV are unbeaten in the Eindhoven Philips Stadium this season. They won thirteen of their fourteen Dutch Eredivisie games and they enjoyed three Champions League wins over, respectively, FC Schalke 04 1-0, AC Milan 1-0 and Fenerbahçe SK 2-0. The stadium will be filled to capacity tonight. A 35, 200 crowd will watch the game in Eindhoven. The match will be covered live on TV in eighteen countries.PSV and Olympique Lyon meet for the fifth time in a small period of time. They drew 1-1 at a Peace Cup tournament encounter in South Korea last summer. The two teams shared honours in their UEFA Champions League quarter final legs, which ended in 1-1 draws. And they faced one another in the 2003 Peace Cup in Seoul, where PSV enjoyed a 1-0 win. So they two teams will meet for the sixth time on 8 March next.
