Heurelho Gomes, who is fighting a back problem is doubtful for tonight's clash against Willem II. PSV Chairman Westehof announced that news on a possible extended stay is to be expected shortly. The future of Gomes was discussed during the media briefing, during which Guus Hiddink indicated he is going to leave PSV at the end of the current season. The popular goalkeeper is being linked with Brazilians ruling champions Corinthians, but there is no concrete news yet."We are having talks with Gomes", said Chairman Westerhof. "We would like him to stay with PSV because of his great performances the past few years and his charismatic attitude. PSV would love to offer him a contract extension. Hiddink has named a nineteen-man squad, so one player will be dropped on Saturday. Last season Robert made sure of a 1-0 win for PSV against Willem II. With only five league games to go, PSV have a nine-point advantage over second-placed AZ. So a win would be most welcome in the quest for the nineteenth title.
