Young PSV have pulled off a 3-3 draw against the national team U23 in Hong Kong. Coach Ernest Faber and his young players are currently in Asia to participate in the international Soccer 7’s tournament, organized by the Hong Kong Football Club. PhilipsYoung PSV slipped to defeat at last season’s final of the tournament, sponsored by Philips. PSV met the Hong Kong U23 team in a pre-tournament friendly, played on an artificial pitch. PSV had to come from 2-0 down. El Yacoubi reduced the deficit before the break and Van Boekel made it 2-2 after the interval. Carrizo eventually made sure of a 3-3 draw, after Young PSV had again been trailing. It was pretty hot; the temperature was about 26 degrees centigrade. The ‘Soccer 7s’-tournament starts on Friday and will last until next Sunday. Aston Villa, Glasgow Rangers, Urawa Reds, Manchester United, Shanghai Shooters, Celtic and the Happy Valley Vets are among the participating teams. Each game is only 7 minutes each way with a one-minute break.
