33-year-old Oscar Moens has completed a two-year deal with PSV. The goalkeeper made a move from Willem II as a free agent. "I am delighted having joined PSV", announced Moens at De Herdgang training base on Wednesday afternoon. "Wonderful club"Moens had been linked with PSV for some time yet, but today the final details were dealt with. "This is great. PSV are a wonderful club to play for. We got in touch four weeks ago, but some things obviously had to be sorted out." Moens has put pen to paper on a two-year deal. He is the first player that has strengthened the squad for the 2006-2007 campaignCapped twiceMoens will take over from Edwin Zoetebier, who has meanwhile joined NAC Breda. Moens, who will act as an understudy to unchallenged Gomes, is a very experienced keeper. "I realize I am deputy stopper. Gomes is obviously a fantastic goalkeeper. But I will hold my ground, when I am called up", said Moens, who has been capped on two occasions for his country. He had spells at Excelsior, Go Ahead Eagles, AZ, RBC Roosendaal, the Italian side Genoa before and, recently, with Willem II. He started his career as a professional player in the 1992-1993 season and will report for duty on 6 July next, when he starts his sixteenth season as goalkeeper.
