PSV MEDIA - Romário de Souza Faria is paying a brief visit to Eindhoven and attended the Holland-Mexico warm-up friendly as guest of honour on Thursday night. PSV Media had an exclusive interview with the Brazilian on Thursday afternoon. File recording all his goals40-year-old Romário arrived in Holland on Thursday to spend some time with his friends he made during his spell in Eindhoven, like Domenico, Antonio and Gilberto and of course a few people he met at PSV. Romário returns to Eindhoven once in a while to catch up on news and strengthen the ties of friendship. The striker currently plies his trade with Miami FC and it is his ultimate aim to score an all-time career landmark one thousand goals. PSV Media have carefully recorded all the goals he has scored in his impressive career and presented him a bound file which records all the goals he has ever scored. Romário was visibly impressed and immediately checked by heart whether two particular practise games he played with PSV against Barcelona and Valencia were included. Romário was absolutely delighted when he found out they had been indeed been inserted in the files and when he was told he had scored as many as 967 goals, more than he had expected, he was even over the moon.. "Thank you so much, this is marvellous!” ,he said before he started to study the document painstakingly. MiamiRomário is having a good time with Miami who play in the American First Division. "I like the weather and the beach. There are many friends from Rio and I like to show my skills. It feels like being at home. The league is pretty competitive and my markers always give me a tough time. They constantly keep an eye on me. But we are doing fine, together with my team mate Zinho. He is played in midfield", explained Romário, who can still speak Dutch very well. He made two appearances in Canada for Miami last week during which he scored one goal. "It was quite a tough trip. But we have earned four points and I found the net. I think it’s great to be back in Eindhoven once again." He remembered a few former PSV team mates, such as Edward Linskens, who sent him their love. "He delivered many fine passes", smiled Romário, on hearing his name. Holland-MexicoPSV invited him to attend the Nederland-Mexico friendly that was kicked off in the Eindhoven Philips Stadium at 20.00 pm on Thursday night. Romário was accompanied by quite a few friends and intended to go out for an evening afterwards. But first he paid a visit to the same stadium where he spent five wonderful years with PSV and scored a host of goals.
