A medical examination at the Geldrop Saint Anna hospital did not reveal any new details on the shoulder injury that Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink has sustained during the league clash against Vitesse last Sunday afternoon. He had his right shoulder dislocated, after an awkward fall. The result is that the ligament between the collar bone and the shoulder blade has sustained serious damage. A scan revealed that nothing is broken, though. "They have made a special brace on my body, which I have to wear for one week. I need complete rest at the same time", explained Jan Vennegoor on his official fan site. "I do hope the team will make sure of qualification to the next Champions League phase in the next two fixtures. I hope to play European football next year!"Jan Vennegoor will be on the sidelines at least until the mid-winter break.
