PSV coach Dick Advocaat guided PSV to an 8-0 win over RKVVV Erp on 17 July 1995 in a pre-season friendly. Eleven years later Dick Advocaat is again PSV head coach and this time the final score of the warm-up friendly was less emphatic: PSV picked up a 6-0 victory over RKVV Erp on Saturday night.All the players that took part in the World Cup and goalkeeper Gomes were not available, so that a few youngsters got an opportunity to show their skills. "Playing a friendly is more fun than training. We obviously like to play in game in our own county and I hope the crowd had a good time. They turned up in large numbers anyway”, announced Ronald Koeman. About 4, 5000 people had come to Den Uil Sports Ground to see the game between the ruling Dutch champions and the Fourth Division amateur side Erp.Eighteen-year-old Jelle de Bock was handed his debut; he was played in the heart of defence, together with Michael Reiziger. The Belgian put in a passionate performance. Goalkeeper Oscar Moens also made his first appearance for PSV. He was taken off during half time and Ruud Boffin replaced him. PSV scored four goals before the break and took the lead on eleven minutes. Mika Väyrynen created a chance in the area and fired home. Four minutes Jefferson Farfán doubled the advantage. Ismail Aissati made it three with a header from a Väyrynen cross and defender Reiziger scored the fourth goal ten minutes from half time. Koeman made seven changes to his line-up during half time and one of them, Arvid Smit, scored a double on 59 and 65 minutes respectively.
