The players who appeared at the World Cup 2006 and goalkeeper Coe went to the training pitch on Monday afternoon, after they had made a trip by bus from Manchester to Stoke-on-Trent. They trained for over an hour under a merciless sun. Stoke CityPSV will spend five days in England to play two pre-season friendlies. They will meet Championship side Stoke City in the Britannia Stadium in Stoke-on-Trent tonight. The six players that resumed training after they had been given extra time to recover from their World Cup exertions, Phillip Cocu, Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink, André Ooijer, Jason Culina, Eric Addo and Carlos Salcido, will not make an appearance tonight, but were obviously called up for a training session. The main weather story in England over the past week is undoubtedly the record breaking heatwave. So the six, who were joined by Nathan Coe, were sweating it out, as assistant coaches Jan Wouters, Tonny Bruins Slot and goalkeeping coach Joop Hiele made them work really hard.
