The players of the PSV first team squad took their final training session at the PSV training ground De Herdgang one day ahead of the league encounter, at home against FC Twente. The first team regular players were not on the training pitch for a long time: the technical staff sent them back to the dressing room after the players had done a few exercises. The regular players could leave the clammy training pitch soon after they had done in a few 'piggy in the middle' games, whereas the other players from the large squad fanatically played a game of football. PSV head coach saw how his assistants René Eijkelkamp and Fred Rutten enthusiastically took part in the game. Goal keeping trainer Joop Hiele was working with the goalkeepers Gomes and Edwin Zoetebier. John de Jong stayed in side in the gym, where he did his rehabilitating exercises. Guus Hiddink will have his customary pre-match press briefing later this day.
