The UEFA Referees Committee has announced the referees for next Tuesday night’ UEFA Champions League opening games. Massimo Busacca will be in charge at the PSV - Liverpool FC tie in the Eindhoven Philips Stadium. The Swiss has never refereed PSV at a Champions League game before. UEFA CupBusacca, born in Bellinzona, started his career as a referee in 1990 and has been wearing a FIFA badge since seven years. Massimo Busacca took charge of the UEFA Cup game A.J. Auxerre –PSV on 11 March 2004. PSV had to come from a goal down, and eventually snatched a draw, when Theo Lucius miraculously scored the equaliser. PSV beat the French side 3-0 in the return leg in Eindhoven.Busacca will be assisted in Eindhoven on Tuesday night by his country fellows Stéphane Cuhat and Francesco Buragina. Sascha Kever is the fourth official.
