Arouna Koné, who has rediscovered his scoring touch, is having an impressive run. The Ivory Coast striker has found the net in five successive games. Koné has scored seven goals in his last five games, two of them Champion League goals. The 22-year-old striker is well on his way to becoming the next Mateja Kezman, although it will not be easy to follow in the footsteps of the former PSV striker. Kezman, who currently plies his trade with the Turkish club Fenerbahçe, scored goals in nine games in a row in April and May 2004. He netted sixteen goals in those nine games. Koné scored goals the past few weeks against Galatasaray SK (a 2-1 win, one goal), AZ (a 3-1 win, one goal, Sparta Rotterdam (a 7-0 win, two goals), RKC Waalwijk (a 3-0 win, two goals) and again Galatasaray (a 2-0 win, one goal). Arouna Koné was a clinical finisher in the month of October: he scored as many as ten goals, including the goals when on duty with the Ivory Coast national team.
