PSV head coach Ronald Koeman is completely reconciled with Ibrahim Afellay’s decision to delay making a choice to represent either Holland or Morocco. That’s why Van Basten has decided not to call up Afellay for the 20-man Holland squad for next week's international friendly with England. But next Sunday afternoon's clash between Ajax and PSV was obviously the main topic at Friday afternoon’s media briefing. "Ajax, PSV and AZ usually win their games quite comfortably and drop few precious points, so the mutual encounters are crucial. Ajax as well as PSV play realistically. People judge wrong when they claim Ajax play more attractively than we do."Patrick Kluivert will not yet be ready to face Ajax, but Koeman is hopeful he will be able to call up Kluivert next weekend. "When he has returned to full fitness, I will include him in the first team squad straightaway. It's no use calling him up for Young PSV games first”, explained Koeman. Phillip Cocu, Manuel da Costa and Diego Tardelli resumed training and joined the squad on Friday morning. Koeman briefly reviewed the cup tie against Vitesse. "We had not been threatening at all and yet we were suddenly two goals up. I am sure there will be more hitches on Sunday afternoon." Koeman was content with the performances that Culina and Väyrynen, who had been given a start, had put in. "They did well. Culina scored a goal and Väyrynen put in a fine display. We have a nearly fully-fit squad to pick from, which is nice as well." Koeman finally discussed the playoffs system once again. "I think it is ridiculous and outrageous. When you finish second, having a 25-point cushion over number five, you miss still miss out on the Champions League campaign."
