PSV hand a debut to Dirk Marcellis in the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals return leg against Liverpool at Anfield. The 18-year-old defender has been called up to the squad four times this season before, but has only been a substitute not used so far. Eric Addo has also been included in PSV’s starting line-up.
Koeman has made some changes to the team that were beaten 3-0 by Liverpool last week, but fields the same eleven players that started against N.E.C. last Saturday, with Arouna KonĂ© partnering Jefferson Farfán up front. Youngsters Rens van Eijden (19) and Olivier ter Horst (18) start on the bench. Coach Rafael BenĂtez has made a great many changes to the side that saw off PSV in Eindhoven in the first leg. Former PSV player Boudewijn Zenden starts, while Dirk Kuyt serves a one-match ban. The Spanish coach has decided to rest Gerrard and Jamie Carragher tonight, with both England internationals starting on the bench.
