Ronald Koeman’s future as coach at PSV will be clarified next Monday. The coach and the club’s board of directors talked extensively on Friday, but refused to make any statements afterwards. Koeman was not present at the Friday morning training session, but his assistants Jan Wouters and Tonny Bruins Slot took charge. Koeman had asked for an appointment with Chairman Frits Schuitema and the board of supervisory directors.
After the meeting he quickly went to his car, not giving away anything. “I won’t reveal anything. I am first going to spend two days in Portugal. I need the weekend to think things over. The club and I will make a statement on Monday. That’s all I have to say.”
