PSV, Feyenoord and Ajax have been nominated for the 2007 Football Youth Academy award. The winner will be announced on Saturday 9 June. PSV have never before been nominated for this award.
PSV opened a superbly renovated complex for the academy of youth development at the beginning of the 2006-2007 campaign. The Youth Academy has been doing great, while some youngsters have broken into the first team the past few years. Edward Sturing, PSV’s Head Youth Academy, looks upon the nomination as ‘a reward for all the people that do their very best each and every day to make PSV’s Youth Academy a success.
