All directors, coaches and chairmen of PSV, AC Milan, Real Madrid and hosts Lokomotiv Moscow, the four teams participating in the Russian Railways Cup, attended the press conference in a packed press room in Moscow on Friday afternoon to kick off the tournament officially.
Head coach Ronald Koeman and General Manager Jan Reker represented PSV at the press conference. AC Milan boss Ancelotti was accompanied by the Georgian player Kakha Khaladze. Real Madrid coach Bernd Schuster and Technical Manager Pedja Mijatovic also attended the press conference, while hosts Lokomotiv Moscow were represented by their coach and President. The atmosphere was friendly and relaxed. As many Spanish media representatives had made the trip to Moscow, Ronald Koeman answered most questions in Spanish. The media circus lasted for about one hour, after which the board of directors withdrew for lunch.
