Ronald Koeman obviously wants to win the Johan Cruijff trophy on Saturday night when his side takes on Ajax, but winning at all cost is not a priority of the PSV head coach, who had a meeting with the press at De Herdgang training centre on Friday afternoon.

With three PSV forwards injured, Ronald Koeman's front line was one of the central themes at the press briefing, but the PSV boss remains optimistic. “If Arouna Kon comes unscathed through eight to nine days of training, he may be able to play sixty minutes against Heracles. Kenneth Perez is also recovering well, although we'll have to wait and see if he fit enough to start next week. Jefferson Farfn is definitely ruled out for tomorrow night's game, but he is stepping up his rehabilitation programme. I hope we will have a full squad to pick from when we play host to N.E.C.” The PSV coaching staff has discussed the possibility to loan out talented striker Gnero Zeefuik, so that he can gain valuable first-team experience, but now that as many as three strikers are sidelined, Koeman is not willing to consider a loan move. “He will stay in Eindhoven at least until the new season kicks off. We may take a decision just before the transfer window closes.”
Koeman briefly commented on the private problems that defender Dirk Marcellis is struggling with, since his 20-year old brother died last week. “Dirk is reasonably well. He makes efforts to distance himself, but it is not easy at all to lose a brother at such a young age.” The funeral took place last Tuesday.

The football writers obviously also raised the topic of Dutch Super Cup on Saturday at the Amsterdam ArenA. “Of course we want to beat Ajax and win that cup, but winning at all cost is not a priority. Prestige is at stake, though.”
It is not known yet which goalkeeper will start. Goalkeeper Gomes collided with a goalpost at training and is a doubtful for tomorrow night's game. “We will take a decision tomorrow. If Roorda takes Gomes' place in the line-up, the Brazilian will start on the bench.”
