The PSV first-team squad will leave for the village of De Lutte in the east of Holland to prepare Saturday night's game against FC Twente at the Arke Stadium, with a 20:00 kick-off. In the absence of Ronald Koeman, assistant coach Jan Wouters briefly previewed the game, before the bus departed.
Wouters pledges to make amends, referring to last season's 1-0 defeat against FC Twente. “It is going to be a tough game. FC Twente may have lost some players during the summer transfer window, such as Ismail Aissati and Otman Bakkal, who have returned to PSV and Kennedy Bakircioglu, who has joined Ajax, but they have also considerably strengthened their side by signing some fine new players.”
PSV's new signing Danny Koevermans will be available, provided he will have completed the formalities, but Jefferson Farfn is ruled out of Saturday night's game with an ankle injury. Apart from that PSV head coach Ronald Koeman has no selection worries. Friday afternoon's training session starts at five, after which the squad retire to prepare for the FC Twente clash.
