PSV claimed a deserved 2-1 win over CSKA Moscow in their UEFA Champions League group stage opening game, thanks to two second-half goals from Danko Lazovic and Kenneth Perez. The Brazilian Vágner Love scored a consolation after 89 minutes.

Several players made their debut on the European stage for PSV, who gradually started to take control of the game. Danko Lazovic opened the scoring on the hour mark and ten minutes from time Perez seemed to have wrapped up the game. The visitors fought back and Vagner Love reduced the deficit, while Jo came close to scoring an equaliser in the dying seconds. Ibrahim Afellay limped off with a broken toe after half an hour and will be on the sidelines for some weeks. Watch the best action from PSV's UEFA Champions League opening game.
