PSV have claimed their third win at the Philips Stadium in one week, after they hammered Feyenoord 4-0 on Sunday afternoon in their biggest game of the league campaign to date. A double from Kenneth Perez, who was outstanding in PSV's impressive 4-0 mauling, and other goals from Edison Méndez and Danny Koevermans, swept the Rotterdam outfit aside. Ronald Koeman's team, who have enjoyed four victories and one draw so far, head the Eredivisie standings, along with Ajax.

Huge celebrations had already started before referee Braamhaar blew the final whistle. PSV had also seen off Feyenoord, after they had earned wins over Vitesse and CSKA earlier this week. The 4-0 final score was not flattering at all, as PSV had outclassed Feyenoord from start to finish. PSV enjoyed possession for long spells and the home crowd were treated to an entertaining game. Goalkeeper Gomes has kept five blank sheets from five games, while Perez, who scored a double, and Culina, who provided two assists, also made their mark.
Jefferson Farfán returned to the starting line up for the first time this season. The Peruvian, who has recovered from an ankle injury, started up front alongside Danko Lazovic, with Kenneth Perez operating off the strikers. Mike Zonneveld was available, after he was ruled out of last Wednesday's Champions league tie through suspension, and there were also starts for the midfielders Culina and Méndez. The first fifteen minutes were evenly contested, but then PSV took control. Danko Lazovic, who has got pace and goal threat about him, created the first chance. De Cler was booked for a foul on the Serb international, while referee also reached for his pocket to caution Jason Culina and Feyenoord defender Theo Lucius.
On the half hour mark Lazovic missed a golden opportunity to open the scoring, when, left completely unmarked, he wildly fired over the goal. PSV were rewarded for their dominance after 35 minutes, when Culina produced a perfect cross and Perez blasted a stunning left-foot shot past goalkeeper Timmer; 1-0. Guzman threatened at the other end, but three minutes later PSV doubled their advantage with Culina, again, turning provider. He produced another fine cross and this time Méndez drilled home a left-foot shot; 2-0. Feyenoord striker Makaay had a goal disallowed for handball, before PSV struck again. They earned a corner that the Feyenoord defence did not clear properly. The ball fell into the path of Perez, who piled more misery on the visitors with another spectacular left-footed thunderbolt; 3-0.

After the break Feyenoord tried to restore some pride and De Guzman forced a fingertip save from Gomes, while Lazovic created some space before unleashing a powerful shot that rattled the post. Feyenoord desparately attempted to get back in the game, but actually PSV had already put the result beyond doubt. Koeman brought on Aissati for Farfán and twenty minutes from time Koevermans replaced Lazovic. With the clock ticking away, PSV went in search of yet another goal. Koeman made his last substitution ten minutes from time, when man-of-the match Perez was taken off and Van der Leegte was handed his first taste of league action this season. Feyenoord won a corner, but Zonneveld cleared the ball just in time. In the last minute of official time Kromkamp started a flowing move and set up Koevermans, whose finish was cool and clinical; 4-0, rounding off a hectic week for PSV in style.
