PSV forward Kenneth Perez has been recalled to the squad of the Danish national team. He withdrew from the Denmark squad after making an appearance for his country against France in May 2006, but made himself available again recently. Perez feels honoured to be named in Denmark coach Morten Olsen's squad for the Euro 2008 qualifying games against Spain and Latvia.

The Dane, who joined PSV in summer, has intimated that he was considering making himself available again to coach Morten Olsen, after having settled in nicely in Eindhoven and making his mark at PSV. 'I want to compete at the highest level possible and consider it a huge honour to play for my country.'
Denmark coach Olson is also delighted with Perez's return to the squad: 'Kenneth Perez is a player with much international experience. He is good at holding the ball and at playing the right passes, and he is a prolific goal-scorer.'
Denmark play host to Spain in Aarhus in a Euro 2008 qualifying game on Saturday 13 October and entertain Latvia four days later. Denmark and Sweden are third in Group F, five points behind the leaders Spain, with two games extra to play. Denmark were last in action on 12 September when they thrashed Liechtenstein. 4-0.
