Danny Koevermans' recent run of good club form has been rewarded with another Holland call-up. The PSV striker has been named in Van Basten's eighteen-man squad for the crucial Euro 2008 qualifier against Slovenia. Ruud van Nistelrooy will miss Wednesday's match at the Philips Stadium in Eindhoven through suspension.
Ruud van Nistelrooy has been handed a one-match suspension after having picked up his third yellow card during the qualification campaign in Holland's 1-0 defeat against Romania, while Dirk Kuyt has not recovered completely from his calf injury yet. Giovanni van Bronckhorst and Joris Mathijsen are also ruled out through suspension. They will be replaced by Robin van Persie and Wesley Sneijder, who return from suspension.
Coach Foppe de Haan has added Otman Bakkal to the squad of the Olympic team for Tuesday's friendly against Scotland. Dirk Marcellis has also received a call-up.
