Young PSV, who claimed a fine 3-2 victory away against NAC Breda last week, have been brought back to earth by Young FC Twente at the Herdgang training centre on Monday night. Lee Nguyen played the full 90 minutes in Young PSV's 2-1 defeat. It was the American's first run-out, following an extended period on the sidelines.

Both teams created many chances in an entertaining first half. The game continued from end to end with both goalkeepers Cees Paauwe and Cássio Ramos being kept busy. Lee Nguyen eventually broke the deadlock. He outpaced his marker on the right wing and cut into the box before slotting home at the far post; 1-0. A few minutes later the visitors leveled things. Cássio Ramos misjudged a shot from an FC Twente forward. He touched the ball with his fingertips, but could not prevent it from crossing the line. The visitors took the lead on the stroke of half time. PSV's Brazilian stopper managed to block a shot from Colak, but Rendla fired home the rebound: 1-2.
After the break PSV went in search of an equaliser and Rochdi Achenteh and substitute Paul Voss came close, but failed to capitalise on their chances. Young FC Twente have moved to the top of their league, while Young PSV occupy a mid-table position.
Young PSV line-up:
Cássio Ramos, Munz (Hikspoors), Heerkens, Ter Horst (Waalkens), Van Berlo, Neervoort, Lee Nguyen, Achenteh, Jonathan, Wuijtens and Zeefuik (Voss).
