Galatasaray has joined Superleague Formula's roster of major international football clubs, ready to line up on the grid for the championship's debut in August next year.

Superleague Formula will see twenty cars compete against one another in August 2008 for the first time. Alongside PSV and Galatasaray, 16-time Turkish League champions and opponents of PSV in last season's Champions League campaign, AC Milan, FC Porto, Olympiakos, Borussia Dortmund, Anderlecht, FC Basel and the Flamengo from Brazil have all signed contracts to take part in the competition.
Superleague Formula will feature 20 cars competing against one another, with each one carrying the colours and livery of major football clubs from Europe and around the world.
Eleven more clubs will be invited to participate in the brand new global car racing competition. All teams that compete in the Superleague Formula will use identical cars and technologies, including a V12-engine. As all cars will be similar from a technical point of view, the emphasis will be placed on the team's performance and each driver's contribution, skill and ability.
