Young ADO Den Haag claimed a 2-1 victory against Young PSV on Monday night in a game dominated by two teams in different halves. The home side enjoyed most possession in the first half, but when PSV were already two goals down, they produced most goal threat. Lee reduced the deficit, but it was too little too late.
The hosts started brightly and PSV goalkeeper Cássio Ramos was called into action several times, but conceded a goal when Richard Blonk converted a lightly given penalty after half an hour's play. ADO Den Haag extended their advantage after 67 minutes, when Jonathan lost possession in midfield before Mimoun El Kadi tapped home from close range. In the second period PSV surged forwards, leaving space at the back. Lee Nguyen reduced the deficit when he slotted home from a Jonathan cross. In the final twenty minutes PSV came close to scoring an equaliser a few times, but goalkeeper Robert Zwinkels pulled off fine saves from Jonathan and Jelle Schijvenaars.
Young PSV have dropped to eleventh place in the table, and they have collected only three more points than bottom-of-the-table Young Willem II. The Eindhoven outfit will be next into action on 10 December when they play host to fourth-placed AZ at De Herdgang.
