Jan Wouters was content PSV concluded a hectic week in style, after PSV claimed their third successive win and was particularly delighted with his side's first half performance. 'We created a great many chances, but in the end we were happy to earn a hard-fought victory.'

Wouters thought his team had put in a great first half performance. 'We should have scored four or five goals and put the result beyond doubt in the first period. Now we were only one goal on top at half time. We intended to carry on like that after the break, but were sloppy at times. We knew De Graafschap would surge forward, after we had been reduced to ten men. We felt the effects of playing three physically demanding games in one week and are happy to have taken all three points here.' Wouters admitted that the referee was justified in showing two yellow cards to Lazovic. 'The cards may have been justified; yet I feel it was a bit harsh on Lazovic.'
