Leon Hese returns to Helmond Sport. The 23-year old defender signed a contract with Helmond Sport, a Dutch First Division side that are sixth in the table. Hese was on loan with Helmond Sport last season as well, but he sustained serious knee injury in November 2003. He suffered cruciate ligament damage and rehabilitated in Eindhoven. Hese is fully fit again and has gained some match rhythm with the PSV reserves. He will join the squad of coach Ruud Brood after the winter break, following a medical.Hese made his debut as professional football player on 15 September 2001, when he was included in the PSV starting line-up. PSV travelled to NAC on that night, where they slipped to a 2-0 defeat. It was the only time he was to make an appearance in the first team in an official match. PSV loaned him out to FC Eindhoven in the 2002-2003 season and he was on loan with Helmond Sport last season. He was fielded thirteen times, but when Helmond Sport entertained VVV-Venlo, Hese was taken off after only four minutes, after he had sustained a serious knee injury.The contract that Hese had with PSV would expire at the end of this season.
