At the weekly briefing at De Herdgang training centre, Jan Wouters told media representatives that he had warned his side to be wary of the attacking ideas that FC Utrecht have in mind. Wouters said that PSV expects his team to win their three remaining matches before the winter break, against FC Utrecht, FC Groningen and NAC Breda respectively, in a bid to stay in title contention.
PSV will be without long-term absentees Kromkamp, De Jong and Van der Leegte, who will be given all the time of the world to recover from his stomach problem, while Fagner and Edison Méndez are doubtful for Saturday's clash with FC Utrecht. 'Fagner is fighting a groin problem and Méndez has picked up a minor upper leg injury.' Manuel da Costa has resumed full training, but has not been called up to the eighteen-man squad. Wouters explained that Saturday's opponents FC Utrecht have adopted an attacking style since Willem van Hanegem took charge as head coach. 'They play attacking football, so it's up to us to get a good result tomorrow night', concluded Wouters.
