PSV are keen to return to winning ways and maintain their lead at the top of the Eredivisie as they take on Sparta Rotterdam on Wednesday night, with a 20: 00 kick off. Sef Vergoossen had no selection worries, and the PSV new caretaker coach keeps faith with the starting eleven that defeated Feyenoord and drew with VVV-Venlo last time out. So there is no place in the starting line up for Danny Koevermans, who drops to the bench, but may get some playing time against his former club, if he comes on as a substitute.
Although Koevermans has bagged eleven goals so far this season, making him PSV's top scorer, and although he has been included in the Netherlands provisional squad, he has to settle for a place on the bench again. Farfán plays up front, along with Lazovic, with Balázs Dzsudzsák providing support from the left flank. The Hungarian January signing will make his first start in PSV colours at the Philips Stadium tonight. Salcido again partners Marcellis in the heart of defence. Sparta, who are without several key players, lie fifteenth in the table, and look to be moving away from the dreaded drop zone.
PSV starting line-up:
Gomes, Kromkamp, Marcellis, Salcido, Alcides, Simons, Bakkal, Afellay, Dzsudzsák, Farfán and Lazovic.
Substitutions: Roorda, Méndez, Koevermans, Rajkovic, Culina and Aissati.
