Three PSV players, Ismail Aissati, Otman Bakkal and Dirk Marcellis, have all been forced to withdraw from the squad of the Dutch Olympic team for the friendly international against Italy. Bakkal and Marcellis picked up injuries during Saturday's Eredivisie encounter against AZ in Alkmaar.
They are joined on the sidelines by Aissati, who is not fit enough to line up for the Dutch Olympic team. Otman Bakkal has suffered a recurrence of the hamstring injury which has kept him out of action two weeks ago. Defender Dirk Marcellis is troubled by a groin problem and will stay in Eindhoven for treatment. Eljero Elia (FC Twente), Jens Janse (Willem II) and Ruud Vormer (AZ) have been called to the squad by coach Foppe de Haan to replace the injured PSV players. Sc Heerenveen midfielder Geert-Arend Roorda has been picked for the squad of the Dutch Olympic team as replacement for Ajax's Siem de Jong.
